- April 9–10, 2026 — revealed at the Triple-i Initiative showcase. Steam wishlists passed 120,000 within 12 hours and roughly 400,000 within the first week; pre-orders reached about 800,000 before launch.
- August 26, 2026 — release date confirmed for September 22, with the second trailer and pre-orders opening on all platforms.
- September 14, 2026 — free demo released on Steam and consoles (see the Demo page). Demo progress carries over to the full game.

No. Graveyard Keeper 2 launched as a full release on day one — there is no Early Access period.
Launch discount — ended September 23
The 20% launch discount ran on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch stores and ended on September 23, 2026. Only a Standard Edition was listed. Base regional pricing is on the Price & Editions page.
